What is Displayip.net?

A simple question with a simple answer.  Displayip.net was created with one purpose, to show a users current I.P. address for gaming and FTP purposes.

It's not a very exciting website, why no colours?

Because the website (well, just one page really) was intended to be quick and easy to use it has no embellishments such as flashing images or ads that would extend the load time or distract the viewer from the main purpose of copying that number.

Why no detailed info such as local host and location?

The more info on the page, the slower it will load.  Besides, all most users really want is an I.P. address, they already know where they are and who thier ISP is.

How does the website know my I.P. address?

It doesn't.  The pagescript simply asks your PC to display it's current I.P. on the screen.

What's with the big numbers?

That started as a gimmick to set my page apart from all the other similar pages, but I found that the larger text is less of a strain on my aging eyes.

How do you make money from this site with no ads?

I don't.
